Middle East maps

Maps are an excellent way to see the changes which have happened in (been imposed upon…) the Middle East over time. You can clearly see it as the ‘crossroads of the world’: Africa, Asia and Europe meet at this little point from which sprung three of the great world religions, about half of the world’s oil reserves and a tiny little canal which is the shortcut between Europe and Asia.
